Faculty in the Instrumentation and Contrast Agent Area

Faculty in the Informatics, Image processing, Modeling, and Visualization Area

Faculty in the Imaging Application Area

The faculty participants were selected by the directors based on the following criteria: 1) demonstrated interest in imaging science research, 2) teaching excellence at the graduate level and history of research trainee supervision, 3) active and pending grants and publication record, and 4) existing and previous collaborations involving imaging science.

Faculty participation will be reviewed periodically by the Executive Steering Committee and additional faculty will be added when new faculty meet the criteria for selection. Faculty who do not actively participate in the training program will be dismissed. Active participation includes teaching core classes, attending seminars, giving guest lectures on the responsible conduct of research, supervising students, advising, and being involved in the administration of the program. The overall goal is to maintain at least a 3:1 ratio of faculty to trainees.

The selected faculties represent an interdisciplinary group of imaging scientists from multiple institutions. Each member has an established record of graduate or medical student supervision and imaging research.
